Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, Central leader PML-N said on Saturday that after five years peoples' party's Jiyalas had once again remembered Benazir's murder, whereas during this long period they had not even registered an FIR and were proceeding on the case filed by General Pervez Musharraf, even though they were now accusing Musharraf of being her killer.

In a statement, he added that they had forgotten that they themselves placed Musharraf in Aiwan-e-Saddar and their Prime Minister and entire cabinet took oath of office from him. "It was only by deception that Zardari removed Musharraf and took over himself and declared him Benazir's killer. This case which has dragged on for five years has been reduced to a farce," he added.

He said FIA carried-out investigations and had presented eight Challans in court, only to withdraw them, adding directors of the FIA had been changed 10 times in last five years and the case had been rendered weightless and meaningless. Initially, Bhutto said that 127 witnesses were named in the case which had now been reduced to 17 and the scene of the crime was washed down immediately after the incident. "But the most important thing is that Zardari himself had repeatedly said that he knows who the murders are," he added.

He said Asif Zardari had forged alliances with those who he himself labelled as the killers and had given them cabinet posts, including the deputy prime minister-ship, in his government which he obtained by using the Bhutto name. Mumtaz Bhutto further said Bilawal should have taken strong notice of this situation and should have announced his course of action at the public meeting at Garhi Khuda Bukhsh Bhutto.-PR
